What a good day.

I slept in this morning for he first time in months! I woke up and felt like a whole new person! I was going to get up at 5am and get in my scheduled 50 minute run, but I accidentally left my phone/alarm clock downstairs, so I didn’t hear it buzzing this morning.

The downside is I have to run at night, which I really dislike, but I’ll let that one slide today. Honestly, if I knew how low key my work day was going to be today I would have brought all my running stuff with me!

This morning I finalized my registration for the Turkey Trot 8K presented by Fleet Feet Sports. I’m excited I haven’t done a race since the Pumpkins in the Park 5K. Coach Jen gave me a race plan in Training Peaks, for the run. It should be fun, Tracy and Sammy are going to run with me!
I do have some sad news to report… Today in a freak accident, my Nike+ Sportband died. It got snagged on the strap of my bag when the USB end of it bent and snapped off. I’m really bummed. I give a lot of credit to me being able to finish the marathon to using Nike+ and the Sportband, so I’m sad to see it go. For the time being I guess I’m going to start running with my iphone again and utilizing Nike+ GPS in addition to my Garmin 305.
That’s all for now. Keep an eye out next week for the 1st episode of my new web-series following our training for Mooseman 70.3!
