If your Thanksgiving is anything like mine by the end of the night you’ll be more stuffed than the bird you just devoured! The best way to combat the endless amounts of food and booze you’re going to take in is a nice easy run the next afternoon… That’s where ChicagoNow comes in…
INTRODUCING: The Inaugural Chicagonow Black Friday 5K and Food Drive!
All your favorite ChicagoNow Bloggers will be at Montrose Harbor, where the 5K run will kick off at 3pm… That’ll give you the morning to recover from your food coma.
The great people at Fleet Feet Sports will be out in full force to help get things started!
The race is FREE, but we do ask that you bring some non-parishable food to donate to the Greater Chicago Food Depository!
Post run, we’ll be heading to Casey Moran’s for more Food Drive Fun and an After Party.
Join Dave “Pace of Chicago” Wallach, Dan “Cubicle Dad” Malinski, Awesome “That’s Awesome” Barb, Lauren “Outside the Girl Box” Kaminsky, Daniel “The Queer Guy Tells It Straight” Scogin and myself, along with other ChicagoNow Bloggers.
Even if you don;t want to run, come down to Casey Moran’s from 4:30-7:00 and if you bring a food donation they’ll hook you up with free appetizers, $1 Carona’s, $3 Domestic’s, $4 Svedka drinks, $5 Bombs.
Sure as hell beats shopping!
If you have any questions, comment to your favorite ChicagoNow Blogger! Hope to see you there!
