It’s that time of year again. We’re not sure which way the weather if going to lean but it doesn’t matter because race season is right around the corner!
I have some great races lined up starting with the Shamrock Shuffle 8k on April 7th.
I decided to make my racing count again this year by joining the Misericordia HeartRacers. If you’re not familiar with the charity team, they’re a group of motivated individuals with a goal of running the Chicago Marathon while raising money for Misericordia Heart of Mercy in Chicago.
I wanted to take my fundraising up a notch this years. Instead of shaking a cup for a generous donation, I’m asking you to make a pledge per-mile for ALL my races this season.
Whether you can pledge 10 cents a mile or a dollar a mile, every little bit helps. My race schedule as it sits right now is 345.4 miles. You can view my race schedule here.
If that sounds like a lot, just think about how many training miles I’ll have to put in!
While I’ll of course be blogging and videoing different aspects of my season, I’ll also have some neat contests and give always exclusively for people who pledge.
If you’d like to make a pledge please email me: Phil.Castello@mac.com
